Signature applications

Signature applications are the programs that allow you to sign an electronic document.

• There are some everyday programs, for example, Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word, that allow you to sign the same document that is generated. However, this type of signature has two drawbacks:
  • Not all programs that generate documents are also able to sign them.
  • In general, the recipient of the signed document must have the same application to be able to verify the signature.
• Specific electronic signature tools or applications are capable of signing any type of electronic document and help overcome the above drawbacks. They can also be downloaded free of charge.

The AutoSignature app, offered by the Public Administration, will help you sign documents.

Self-signature is a signature application made by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations. Its main objective is to offer the user a signature system in which he can sign any type of document in a simple way. The user indicates which file he wants to sign and the Application Automatically choose the signature format What to apply, thus freeing the user from any technical doubts.

VALIDe (Application of Validation of Signature and Online Certificates of @signature) is the validation platform that the General Administration of the State makes available to the Administrations and citizens for the validation of certificates and, in addition, offers the following services:

• Validation of electronic signatures
• Generation of electronic signatures in multiple formats
• Display signatures with the help of the Viewer
