Signature applications are the programs that allow you to sign an electronic document.
There are some everyday programs, for example, Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word, that allow you to sign the same document that is generated. However, this type of signature has two drawbacks:
- Not all programs that generate documents are also able to sign them.
- In general, the recipient of the signed document must have the same application to be able to verify the signature.
Specific electronic signature tools or applications are capable of signing any type of electronic document and help overcome the above drawbacks. They can also be downloaded free of charge.
Below you can find the AutoSignature app, offered by the Public Administration, which will help you sign documents.
